Wahoo, they're off! :D

Bollocks, I've stripped the heater element on the rear hatch glass

After three hours of peeling and scrapping, and a non-operational heated window, I can recommend not buying a car with window tints

PS Mk1 rusty/dented rear tailgate wanted. Glass and heater element must be in very good condition :P

Did you use a paint scraper, a sacraper designed for scraping paint off glass, holds a stanley blade at a slight angle to the glass, got my stickers off in minutes

Yeah, I did. The film came off fine. It was the adhesive they used that took ages - hot soapy water and a glass scrapper did the trick in the end.

The heater element pealed away when I pealed the tints off, ****ing things!

just get some white sprit and a clean rag, that glue will come off in no time

I tried the white spirit first, but it just made the glue all sticky. So I phoned a tint specialist and he said warm water and soap. Worked a treat :)

why did you wanna get rid of the window tints?

Because they didn't look right on a 12 year old Clio. I didn't think so anyway.
