after nearly a year of careful driving, last saturday CRUNCH!!! wasnt paying attention. rang pristine and asked them could they repair just the diamond cut rim and NO, the whole thing needs to be done :( so im thinkin, i will send one of my spares off to be refurbed and keep the slightly damaged one. question is. does anyone keep a decent speedline as a spare on the underside? if so is it best to wrap the wheel in a bin bag? and have the face of the alloy facing up towards the underside of the car? or does the face of the alloy rub on the underside if you put it face up?

I know with 195 tyres fitted the metal of the wheel doesn't touch anything when inside the cage so I'd say go with the bin bag approach anyway, no idea if the same applies with 185's though

I wouldn't leave it under there, will only get corroded or nicked.

I thought about a speedline for a spare but came to the same thought as Mat. I ended up powdercoating the spare steel black.

Steel wheel under, speedline in the garage.
