Itty Bitty Picci?

how do you get pictures small enough to set as the little pic that comes up underneath my name with every post i make? 7kb is way too small for what i can make a JPEG of my car still look discernable!

i resize it to about 80x?? pixels, then save it as a gif format, all done in photoshop

I just use Photoshop and then use the "save for web" feature and then the pics are nice and small.
