How to check original Williams

I am new to this forum. I am planning to buy a used Clio Williams phase 2, and I was wondering if there is any sign (VIN or something else) that proves the originality of the car.

Look at the vin plate on top of the drivers side headlight, it will have either C57D or C57M on it at number 1 on the pic here. If it has D it's a valver & M is williams
