wont budge an inch! (not suprising with all that heat over the years!) any tips/ suggestions as to how to remove it? ive coated copius amounts of WD on it....

Blow torch on the nut normally helps. Keeping heat off the sensor if possible. But if its really bad they normally strip out the threads.

yeah sorted, gave it a drop of heat with my soldering torch. so thats now done and an entire set of exhaust hangers renewed. cabby goes tomorrow as well, then its crack on time with the XR3. cant wait :0)

Ah. When you said 'consigned to history' I assumed you meant it might be meeting its end, but it sounds like it will live on!
