View Full Version : Bonnet seal ?

Does anyone know if there should be a seal of any kind on the underside of the bonnet because i just popped the bonnet this afternoon and the underside of the bonnet was white with frost and it hasnt been that cold yet only -2 ish.

there should be 'seals' above the lights and one long one along the scuttle panel.. cant say ive ever looked under mine for frost when its been frosty tho...

All i have on mine is a seal along the scuttle panel and one along the slam panel at the front, nothing else.I was just surprised how frozen everything was i only popped bonnet to top up oil aswell.

AS FAR AS IM AWARE MATE, THATS ALL THERE IS IN TERMS OF 'SEALS'..IT DOESNT DO THE BEST JOB OF SEALING .. SO BOUND TO GET SOME MOISTURE IN THERE SUMHOW THAT CAN FREEZE..

Yea, I was working on mine about 9 am the otehr night and there was frost all over the underside. It's no biggie, as log as relays etc are kept dry in compartments :)
