Well, as you all know I got rid of my black hybrid back in april, sadly. It went to a local lad who is looking after it well! Although he did blow the clutch up within a week of ownership!

There is just something about being able to thrash the arse off a 2.0 N/A that I do miss dearly. That car was so quick. I used to spank B8 220 Audi Turbo A4's for fun (theyre not slouchy) and I was chatting to a young lad last week that rocks round my way in a quicksilver shell with a 106gti engine who i used to have regular blasts with and kill him. I always thought his was a 1.4 quicksilver std, so kind of made me smile.

Anyway. Thought Id show you all what I have had since April. Here is my daily now. 2012 4.0 V8 of Germanies finest. This thing is just brutal. The noise it makes. The handling. The power. The acceleration. Changes gear quicker than you can blink. Launch control. DCT. 414BHP. Rev limiter @ 8300RPM. The noise the downshifts make is what every petrol head dreams of. Its just simply sensational.

Wow, that does look good. Don't remember seeing one in the flesh yet. The side profile shot is my favourite - it looks very taut and purposeful.

Not just that Paddy! ;-)

Youre right about the CSL shape wheels, but thats more E46 shape talk from the CSL of that era. These are actually part of the competition package that BMW offers as an upgrade. Its give 1/2 inch wider track. Car sits lower by 10mm. And it has electronic damper control all round. All part of that package. When you press that button handling is immense. Proper track day button that is!

Aaaaahhh so CSL lookalike wheels with added E92 tax then

Thought the competition package was that silly expensive matt look paint job that looks awesome but is a nightmare to live with :???: what's different on that to the M-Sport package you get? Only asking as my old man got a E92 330d M-Sport a few months ago & I just wanna be a bit of a geek & know stuff :-D

Nah, competition package is the EDC. Electronic Damper Control. Thats all. But that package also comes with the CSL wheels.

Not too sure on the M-Sport. I think M-Sport package is what all the reps put on their 318d's ;-) like the twats that buy a A4 1.9 TDi and put the S-Line kit on ;-)

Yes, I would agree, but on one basis only, depends whos driving and how much balls they have. Car on car, not a chance in hell. I used to say a clio was amazing handling (they are) but this thing is simply stunning. The planted-ness and grip it gives in corners and bends is just staggering and especially when you press the EDC button. For anyone to say a 20 year old clio handles better than something like this, are simply out of their mind. You can go so quick into bends in this thing when its wet. And the brakes are simply ridiculous. They nearly pull your chest apart!

That's good news that they have now addressed this - the brakes on many of the old M-models are definitely the weak point of the package. Do you know if they are sourced from Brembo or the like, or are they making them in house? Any good shots of the calipers/discs you can take through those lovely wheels for us to drool over? :winkey:

Drove one a few weeks ago! Along with an M5 F10.

Totally agree, the grip is unreal, makes you properly confidant in the corners! The turn in was superb! Wassnt as tail happy as i was expecting! Like you say the grip is epic.

The M5 was even better!
