Roof skin change willy 1.

Hi I've got a willy 1 with an aftermarket Wabasto electric sunroof fitted! It's been fitted for some time (at least 2004 but I reckon even earlier maybe after the car was first registered) and actually it's a quality part and install.

Trouble is of course it's not original. What are your thoughts on this kind of thing? You could say its period of the time.i.e. late 80's early 90's it was a very popular and common mod.

I have managed to get hold of a roof and headliner (from matt brown, cheers Matt) but its a massive job. What do you think?

I would leave it alone tbh. If it bothers you that much either sell up and find a original one. Be cheaper in the long run!!!

as above, it can cost to put a new skin on, I got mine cheap from Renault france through my bodyshop but it was still over £300 plus prep, fitting, blending and painting

BTW - Original sunroof is made by Webasto... (most factory fitted sunroofs/folding roofd etc. are actually Webasto)
