Renault Clio Williams – number 112

The time has come to sell my beloved Williams. I have owned this car since 2010 and have made it my mission to tidy the car up and turn the car back to standard as it was a lightly modified and a little shabby. The car has covered 2000 miles in my time has always been garaged and has only been driven on sunny weekends.
MOT 01.01.14
TAX 01.06.13
Mileage 128,000

Engine/Gearbox/Mechanicals
The engine is very strong and pulls very well. There is no smoke on start up or under load. The previous owner fitted a new battery, starter motor, alternator, front discs and pads, and changed the cambelt at 117,000 miles. He also fitted new wheel bearings all round. I have replaced the full exhaust system from a Mongoose system to a standard system including cat (the mongoose system will come with the car if needed). The engine also benefits from a hill power induction kit but I do have the standard airbox that will come with the car. The gearbox dogbone mount has also been replaced recently. At 127,500 the car received and oil, gearbox oil and coolant change. There is a small issue with gear selection when the car is warm, I think the clutch pedal ratchet mechanism requires adjustment. The central locking does not work on the key but you can only unlock the passenger side door to get in and press the centre console button to unlock all locks. An easy fix and has never bothered me.

Interior
Very clean inside all standard and amazingly for a 20 year old French car all the dials and electrics work fine. It also has the rare fluffy parcel shelf with suit carrier. I have recently had the gear knob refurbished. The only non standard part is the aftermarket CD player but I never use it.

Body/Chassis
The car is 20 years old and there are a few marks, scratches and small dents. However it does clean up well but it is not mint. I do get many comments from fellow enthusiasts at petrol stations. The car was lowered at the front but I have fitted standard suspension. I have also replaced a cracked offside front wing with a new one, fitted a new grill and brand new yellow fogs (original OEM parts). The offside rear arch is starting to go and the boot lid inner could be better, both common areas of corrosion on these cars. The car could benefit from a replacement bonnet as its a little stone chipped. There is an aftermarket electric Webasto sunroof fitted that has been in the car since at least 2004, I will sell a replacement roof skin and headliner with the car if the next owner wants it.

Other
I am a mature owner and a huge car enthusiast who works in the industry. The car has a clean record from mycarcheck.

£1995 ono.

0112 - for sale Gumtree May 2013

http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/original-renault-clio-williams--phase-1--very-little-rust--one-of-the-best-around/1017255440#gallery-item-full-4

Here we have my 1993 ORIGINAL Phase 1 Renault Clio Williams (Number 112 ever made with gold plack on dash).

If youre looking at this advert I am sure you know all about these so I wont bore you with with technical specs; Im sure we all know this is a very fast car.

If you have viewed these in the past, you will find that there is always rust around the rear wheel arches. As well as this, there is usually loads under the bonnet. With my one, there is NONE around the arches and very very little under the bonnet. (see photos).

This vehicle has never been resprayed and still has original (now 20 year old) paint / Wheels.

GOOD POINTS
- Paddle clutch (Race clutch). When I first drove this vehicle I found it very hard not to stall it, however after getting to know the car, its perfect. This gives the car more personality in my opinion.
- Passed its MOT first time in January. (Expires 01/14). If you really wanted I could put a new one on there for you.
- Taxed until 07/13.
- HPI Clear.
- Perfect condition interior (No cigarette burns, tares ect ect.) I have even had the gearstick refurbished!
- 100% original other than head unit (sound system control unit).
- Standard exhaust
- Standard wheels
- Standard springs
- Standard brakes
- Standard paint
- Standard engine
- Standard WORKING electric sunroof.
- Only run on Shell V-Power or BP Ultimate (loads of receipts).
- Cambelt done under 6k Miles ago.
- Service History
- ORIGINAL PARCEL SHELF WITH RENAULT ORIGINAL SUIT HOLDER!! (ive never seen another one with this optional extra).
- Starts first time every time.
- Always garaged. (Goes without saying).
- Risk Free Purchase (This vehicle kept garaged will never go down in value).
- less than 7k miles/year from new.
- LOADS of paperwork to go with this car, old MOT's, old services, most of the tax discs from new, original handbook ect ect ect.
- Working electric windows.
- I never let the tank go below 1/4 fuel.
- 4X Good tyres.

BAD POINTS
- I have had an induction kit fitted (Obviously only the one RENAULT said to get). I do still have the original one and can get this fitted if required.
- Non original head unit (CD Player). The vehicle still has original speakers though.
- VERY small surface rust if you open the bonnet and look very closely.
- Central locking only works from passenger side (Slightly annoying but as ive got a garage and rarely get to take it out, it never gets locked anyway).
- 3 small stone chips on the bonnet (less than size of 5p).
- If you wanted to make this car 100% perfect the wheels could do with a refurb (about 35/wheel from any garage).

I have looked after this vehicle to the best of my ability however please do keep in mind you are looking at a 20 year old clio, not a 2 year old Bentley. For what it is, it is honestly in remarkable condition. I went to go and view loads of these before buying this one and honestly this one stuck out dramatically.

If you have any questions, please call me on 07876627581.

NO TEST DRIVERS however I dont mind taking you out in the car.

Thanks, Fraser.

haha pvsmark - i doubt ANY car in the uk would not have had the fuel in the first 1/4 at some point in its life.
