Update.

failed 'oz mot' again due to rear braking.

bias valve refurbed. both callipers refurbed.

brake efficency in the rear passenger side is low.

bias valve setup correctly? or if yes, then tweak it, notch it up so it thinks theres weight in the boot, keep winding it till the rears lock under braking, then back it off a bit

What if the back end has been set wrong with the torsion bars?

I noticed it was 10mm higher on the passenger side.

I noticed a bigger gap between the arch and the wheel on that side. ?

The bias valve is connected to the torsion bar as the feedback of how much weight is on the rear wheels, and hence how much braking force can be applied. The lever is pretty much in the centre of the bar, so if you are 10mm out on one side then this will be an equivalent of 5mm out in the middle. That would have an effect on the biasing I would think.

It would be hard to get one side higher than the other - especially 10mm

I would say that difference is down to the car resting at a angle after being jacked with the handbrake on or uneven ground!

Have you bled the brakes? If you get nearly no fluid out from the rear it's a new valve.

If they bleed fine and it's the handbrake that's poor you need to reset the rear calipers

It's both handbrake and foot brake

Caliper refurb (again)

New hand brake cables

Fingers crossed. It's the only thing keeping it off the road

Cheers for the assistance

I need Some luck !

If the rear axle is warped then it would affect the braking bias?

If it is out by 10mm a press is what's needed ?

Or

Is it the poor caliper refurb ?
