This chap has also built this - http://www.turborick.com/ - so am assuming he knows what he's talking about/it could work?

Mate dont listen to forum banter. Research it yourself and draw your own conclusions. Youre very knowledgeable on mechanical issues, moreso than most on here.

People will just slate it based on what their mate down the pub said or what ben r reakons.

Be your own detective.

Cheers - you've got a point! :)

I've been having a look at them on ebay and TBH while i think the chap is being a bit optimistic about using them on a car he obviously knows his stuff about bikes and that comment about fitting to a kart has sparked my interest;

As i said on another post, i'm building up a new 70cc motor for my scoot next month so will have the current 50cc left over...think i'll buy one of those pumps and give it a go - if it blows the engine or does nowt then no loss but if it works then i'll be able to optimise it on the 50 before transferring accross to the new 70cc lump.

The new motor i'm doing will rev to 12000rpm so i think one of those pumps turning at that speed will be almost guaranteed to exceed what the carb is sucking at the moment. Just got to find away of connecting it directly to the crank...think some case drilling is going to happen...

I'm sure that sound clip is of an F1 car, not that Busa. :?

Looks like a very good idea for a scooter engine mate, but would forced induction work on a two stroke motor?

Arent proper superchargers available off the new Cooper S' available for peanuts 2nd hand? Bloody cheap even if they are Eaton type.

I'm sure they sell for around £50 a time.
