As most do, tend to spit the fluid out the top a bit, anyone come up with a way to stop it?


As iv been away from mk1's for a few years, thought id check!

You can drill it and it a banjo bolt and run a pipe through to an overfill bottle, but tbh is its it leaking much I wouldn't bother.

as above, they do it as the rack pressure relief valve wears with age, nothing to worry about so long as its not coming out in litres

can either make a catch tank or enjoy the rust stopping properties as it drips all over the inner arch, its like free waxoyling ;-)

Run the level a little lower helps, but obviously you still need to have some fluid in the header tank.

I just ran it through the arch liner on the inside keeping it well away from the brake caliper and disc......
