that you were sniffing crack at the time of posting this! as if a valver sounds anything like a flat 4!

There is a burble if you plant the throttle at low revs, that's very much like a scooby burble.

Sound nice but not quite a scooby sound even if the scooby has equal length headers still dosn't sound like it IMOA

As stated the lower rpm sounds very scooby like...or am i hearing things, also williams sound just the same dont they? oh how u miss your 1.8...why take the piss?? this was a straightforward post!!

If you cant give a grown up reply dont bother replying at all.

excuse me but winston was actually giving back a positive comment!

my original post was half a joke (as in that you sniff crack) and the second bit is an opinion! you asked for an opinion in your original post and you got mine so where's the problem?

gtbloke

i dont have a problem, but the only reason i posted this was to get some grown up reply's....im not saying it sounds exactly like a scooby...nor am i doubting the fact u was joking m8!

WTF.......chill winston

My 2.0 sounds **** all like my 1.8 did

when you catch a 1.8 below 4k it gives a deep (almost scooby growl)

Gwwwwooooooommmmmmoooooosssssshhhhhhhhhhh lol

I only added that comment because the 1.8 sounds better imo

With the green filter on if I put my foot flat to the floor in 4th and 15mph it sounded like an Impreza. They do sound very nice though, even mine now with just an exhaust sounds better than most cars with IKs & exhausts.

See ya

Does the 2.0 not sound the same then? I find it makes a scooby like burble when under a little bit of labour, say 40mph in 3rd and gentle acceleration. Nail it with my piperx on and its loud as **** :P

I was guessing the 2.0 would sound the same as a 1.8??

need to 2.0 boys to clear this up 8)

On my original williams i had the same system and K7N filter that i know have on the valver

They sounded pretty much similiar before but for some reason i don't remember the Willy have the deepness the 1.8 has at lower revs say accelarating in high gears couldnt tell you why probably sumit to do with amount of air beening pulled in etc

But the valver hasnt got the scream of the induction kit at the highest revs a music note that a do miss compared to the willy

My Valvers defo had a deeper roar than my williams has. My 1.8's had a K&N and my Williams has a viper. My Valvers were defo louder.

i remeber going in tom_16vs when he first got his, i was suprised at how loud the induction roar was to be honest, especially since at the time he had a standard air filter, but obviously a k-tec LOUD, non silenced decat sorted that.

Mine has a piper x on now and is very loud. Although my mates had the standard box filter on and was equally loud and we didnt know why :?

Mines now got an enclosed i/k along with a full powerflow system

the enclosed i/k is even louder than my piperx was ! sounds more rorty...i love it :D

if u remove the filter element from standard airbox then unclip filter so there is a gap...it sounds insane on a 1.8.. if u feather the throttle u get dump valve effect....naturally dont run with no filter for to long!

Im a girl wiv a 2.0 does my opinion count???? lol

I had a valver with standard air filter, sounded ok i suppose. But my bf had one before me, he had a green air filter on his, sounded amazzzing. Loved the sound that that made.

My willy sounds def different from the valvers tho, like big hp says. Think i prefer the way the valvers sound wiv a decent induction kit chucked in it!!

Think it obviuosly depends on wot fitments u got, my willy sounds very much different from summys, hes got a stainless steal manifold and staight through zorst. (too be honest think it sounds VERY TINNEY)

Much prefer mine

I ran mine without a filter before. Just down the road like and it sounded ****in mental. Like a rally car lol 8)

I love the valver induction roar and burble the exhaust gives off when you let off the revs. Can't beat the sound for a non- turboed car i reckon :D

If only they were a bit quicker :)

I just love the sound of it :D
I'm running on a KN induction and the thing is that
after 6200rpm or so it starts making a beezare sound like heavy whisling.
Is that common :?:

Quite funny, thought, like having a turbo

gtbloke
03-09-2005, 08:29
yeah its common the piperx whistles too
