odometer/mileometer has just stopped working

Just noticed today that my mileometer/odometer has stopped working and also getting a strange clicking/ticking noise from behind the clocks aswell dont know if the two are related,and does anyone know where the pick up is for the mileometer, any ideas.

speedo cable internals have snapped by the sounds of it .

when you say speedo cable internals which end do you mean,but the speedo itself is working its just the miles are not been clocked up is this what normally happens.

its not the cable then mate , must be the actual odomoter playing up . Either way it looks like you will have to pull the instrument panel out to inspect.
