Stupid question, but where does the relay go?

(mods - the search function on here is terrible!)

:D My external temp guage is dull as fook and was told that a new relay might have been the problem, so I bought one but I do not know which of the relays under the glovebox I should be replacing it with!

I'm beginning to think that it isn't the relay at fault afterall. :(

My approach would be to turn ignition on and start unplugging relays until the gauge goes out to find out which relay it is.
As for the dull clock Mat Brown will know. Could be an iffy earth?

Dont think it has a relay, have you checked the bulb in the back of the display?

Treat yourself to a haynes manual!
It's the one on the left on the actual flap.
