Hi!

What's the best way to get these out? And how correctly drive in new ones?

Nothing, I mean everything. I'm rebuilding the block which has spun the big end bearing(this was fatal for it), so the engine had a oil with metal filings which aren't a good thing. I sourced new bearings and I'll replace these. Got a useful answer on C16V:

slide hammer with hooked end to remove them. I get them pressed in by my machinist

There is a special tool for pisitioning these bearings. IIRC I have the dimensions of this tool.

Of topic a bit dude but can you tell me if your engine just broke all of a sudden or did you have a rattling noise for a while at around 3000rpm? I ask because iv got a problem with mine and am just trying to identify the problem :)
