microfische use to be an old way of putting on exploded view onto a piece of plastic that could be viewed under a magnified lighting system onto a screen similar to an overhead projector libraries use a similar method or did b4 pcs became popular.

thanks for that.
and in terms of an alloy wheel refurb specialist why would it serve their purpose?

when i worked in bodyshop we use to have one, basicly when a colour is needed u have to use the correct type and amount of paint, we would find the correct chart, put it into machine and u could see on a screen the exploded pic to see how much of each colour u needed, there is a scales next to it and basicly u put in whatever it says to the correct amount etc

great esp when doing work on the sly as the main paint mixer machine wa slinked to office pc, so would just use other one and do it on sly lol, most my old VTR got painted that way hehe

i would say the renault equivalent would be the same as when you goto say b & q and they mix a paint up, they have a chart with the correct amount of colours ie so much white red etc, this as you are saying is stored on a microfiche data sheet but with microf' you can store shed loads of information.
