Evening all,

Does anyone know the symptoms of a tired oil pump on the f7r engines?

Any noises, running issues etc

Secondly how difficult is it to diy change the oil pump on these cars?

Any help will help alot, thanks 8)

You can change them with the engine in situ. You have to jack up and undo the cam cover type engine mount to do it. Undo all the sump bolts, a few can be a pain in the arse to get to tho. then undo and replace the pump. You must empty the oil fist, and there will be some cleaning and reselling of the sump. But a couple of hours work tops. P.s. I have a spare oil pump available if you need one. As for signs of wear, couldn't say. Never had one I've up

How goods the oil pump youve got, millage etc? i was looking at the group N spec ones as thought may aswell upgrade at the same time as the car takes a fair bit of stick normaly.

Mines covered 2500 miles or so. It's the one from theturbo lump. The only difference between the standard and group n pumps, are a stronger spring iifc

Most common problem with the oil pumps is they become clogged up with sump sealant.
