Sounds stupid but try re seting your ecu....by taking the battery of for a few minutes lol

Could be loads of different things effecting the idle  .......could be worth a try

Nick Hill will do a diagnosis with the same software reno use. Might be worth a trip up? Or try to find a similar service closer to you?

Are there any independent reno garages that have diagnostic software near you?

yea there are a couple, southampton central, lymington. But think they

charge like £30 just for ur car to put on the diagnostics. F - in rite rip off May as well bloody by a new valve then aint i?

How to solve eratic idle completely.

Replace the following parts:

ISCV
Map Sensor
Lamdba Probe
Ignition Coil
Coolant temp sensor
HT Leads
Dizzy + rotor arm
Ignition coil
Fuel filter

Do the following things:

Check ISCV srea for any loose pipes or leaks
Clean throttle body with carb cleaner
Reset ECU
Sling some injector cleaner through your fuel system

Its a bit drastic overall, but it solved the idling on my car.

Not had a spot of idle trouble since.......touch wood.

Try all the cheap options before you start going for the new ISCV, lambda and map snesor as these cost £££

prob about £220 inc vat for those 3 parts.

I HAD SAME PROBLEM IT WAS THE LAMBA

CHANGED IT FOR THE NGK LAMBA NOT THE RENO ONE

I DID THINK IT WAS THE IDEL CONTROL VALVE A FIRST I TOOK IT OFF AND CLEANED IT WITH CARB CLEANER IT HELPED A BIT

ALSO IT WAS STICKING ALSO

It'll either be idle control valve or the speed sensor. I had loads of trouble with my speed sensor. I've got a idle control valve going cheap if you want one.

You could also try hitting ISCV with a small hammer first. Always does the trick for me.
