Am I right?

I've ran my engine and the engine temp gauge is maxed with the red light on. It does not drop. The fan is not cutting in, but works as I've tested direct from battery, the sensor on the left of rad looking from front has power. Am I correct in thinking this could be my culprit and the temp sensor on the therm housing? I understand why the fan is not cutting in, but the gauge is maxed and never drops, hence why I think the temp sensor has gone also.

Second issue is oil level and temp gauges are dead. Pressure works fine. Is this sensor connected at the back of block under manifold my gremlin?

The sensor under the manifold at the back is pressure.

Check the plug wirings are not exposed and touching on the sensors on the thermo housing first, then simply replace them. They are not hard to get hold of, or replace. Just remember to refill and bleed coolant system.

I'd use it as a good time to do a coolant system flush.
