View Full Version : Adjusting gear linkage
I have just fitted a new gear shifter/linkage to the the willy, is there any set way to adjust it atthe gearbox end, or is it a adjust and have a go type thing? Thank you please
1, Select 1st gear at the gearbox (move the selector arm into the position of 1st gear)
2, Disconnect the long linkage and the short shift rod at the gearbox.
3, Ask somebody to keep the gear lever at the place (where it should be) of 1st gear in the passenger cabin (the reverse-locsk slider must touch the gear lever housing).
3, Connect the long linkage and short shift rod.
The second Point 3 is the 4th
Thanks yahoo. I'll ive it a go
See if it works from the off first!!!!!
If so, leave it. Setting it up is a bitch.
