Anyone got pictures of this?! I want good ones to show the bracket, the teeth that sheer off etc. Need to expand my knowledge!

poor design, alloy teeth meshing with steel.

Is this right as the bolt through the middle should have an allen key hole?

The bracket and tensioner are from a W2 I broke, the replacement bracket and tensioner I got from a lad on here had an allen key type bolt which I think is the norm, I'm guessing someone at some time in the cars history replaced it with a bolt to make belt adjustment easier. It's the alloy teeth on the bracket that are the the problem, they get chewed up if the centre bolt isn't loosened enough

Loosened enough? Do you mean when adjusting the pulley?

for info:
the tensioner has a 22mm spanner fitment at the front for adjustment, loosen hex bolt fully and use spanner to adjust belt tension before tightening hex bolt. (Was going to add pics of tensioner but apparently I have reached my 2mb pic upload limit. If you would like to see pics I will mail them)

I'm looking for one of these brackets also. Does anyone have one?
