After reading franksvalver's thread about his Williams 1 Turbo, and not wanting to hijack it, thought I'd start a thread to bring all the pictures of Turbo Williams & 16 valvers in one place. So please add your pictures.

Put all the Boost in one place!!!

Tbh, I keep thinking of getting rid of it. Just don't use it anymore. Hoping plenty of turbo pictures will keep me going with it!

cheers mate, i love looking at it too!lol!

yours looks minty fresh too fella, and i love the standard looks of it :-)

ai it does help, i relocated the standard dashboard temp sensor (used to be in passenger wing mirror) to the scuttle as well and the inlets are typically ambient air temp, 20 degrees odd :-)

I know its only banter but why would you want NA power if you could afford to do the turbo conversion?

220bhp vs an easy 260

7800rpm vs 6500 rpm

Really stupid loud BAAAARP or the stealthy flutter

Oh, and the fact that you dont need a ned radiator, dont have to go standalone and TBH its WAY more bang for your buck

Look at coops pikey engine. Probs cost him the same as a 1st class postage stamp to buy that unwanted f7p block from paddy.

Turbo/boost > NA

In my honest opinion, for proper track work, turbo'd clios just aren't up to the job, the power is rather wasted as you really can't put it down properly, it's too much for the car to handle. Plus turbo's are waaaaayy more complex & expensive plus trumpets will always sound better & the only turbo's cars that come close to sounding as good are 5 pots

Mine has cost me an absolute fortune over the years!

And as for track work I’d agree with paddy. I did my first track day at goodwood a few years ago and in the morning used the Clio. It was fun and it surprised other cars. In the afternoon I took a civic type r FN2 round (the space rocket shape with triangle fogs and tail pipes) It was sooooo much easier, and although it had 80 odd brake less, and heavier the civic was probably quicker.

Saying that, it was never built as a track day special. Remember playing with a Porsche on a dual carriage way and looking at the drivers face.

Come on peeps more pictures off BOOST!!

I know theres more out there!!!!

Up to date pictures below. Cleaned the dust off it on the driveway then took it out for the day, getting it dirty straight away.

I'll try and get some up-to-date pictures of mine when I can, it's currently having a replacement turbo fitted & improvements made to the intercooler/pipework.

I've had nothing but trouble since the day I brought it, gearbox, head gasket, turbo... but I still wouldn't change it for one minute.

Your's is very tidy/clean, mine will be put to shame by all others.

I may go for another Mk1 and turbo it as I do love a bit of boost.

However, my current car with high comp and ITB's is spot on for what I use it for. Amazing noise, extremely quick for such a small car and it's not gone wrong apart from shearing a driveshaft after a brutal traffic lights gran prix.

215 odd bhp can be used on standard clutch and gearbox happily, as long as you are not completely unsympathetic to the mechanicals.

My 16V turbo for Old-Times sake. Sold many years ago and funnily enough, the downpipe that I made for it has turned up on Reevio's Turbo, which is sitting in my garage right now!!

I would like to do something similar. Not with 0217 though, but another Mk1. I love the way TAC is as it is, though it wont match the mad power of forced induction, it's already beyond the limits of the normal drive train (sheared driveshaft and slipping clutch).
