Im no chav. Always wanted a Williams 1. From the outside it is an out and out sleeper. Nothing gives it away apart from the 285 Hi Specs really and even they are black

Couldnt think of a more worthy car to stick a Turbo lump in really. It does have a standard interior too.

I know some of the Williams community may have flamed me for doing it. To be honest it wouldnt be hard to put back to standard

Looks very similar to mine until a few weeks ago. I've changed my engine back to standard as I couldn't be arsed with it any more. I still have plenty of parts. If you need anything let me know.

To be honest mate mines all done and running. I buy everything new/make it myself generally

Its currently with Haywood and Scott having a new exhaust fitted

Running Emerald K6 standalone engine management

Don't think anyone on here will flame you for it.
It's your car at the end of the day and at least it's still on the road!

Ill behonest Mat, it had some internal damage to the 'b' pillar, so rather than try invain to make it a clean original i thought I may as well make use of the non sunroof shell and make it into something a bit special

Not many Williams 1 Turbos I dare say. Although I would love a concours original. Would have to have a lower number though. Don't think 125 was special enough

I'd take any original concours regardless of number. lol
Been looking for years now.

I know it would be hard.

There must be one somewhere tucked away in someones garage that never comes out

There definately arent 100 Williams 1s accounted for.

Looks great. Will the hayward and scott have a cat in it?

As for getting flammed, I understand you, I stood behind some guys looking at mine once and listened to them go on about ruinning a classic! (and mines a lowly 2!! ).

Mines a willy 2, Pictures a bit old.

No cat mate no

People will flame me more soon, ive been tempted with another Williams 1 down my way and kind of feel like stripping mine one out properly. Call me mad ay.

Your engine bay is alot tidier than mine, not sure if I could get mine quite as well fitting

I had to modify a few bits to get the Emerald to fit etc. Not done a great job of re-fitting the bits

Will get some pictures of the H&S exhaust up soon. I am very lucky as I am only 5 minutes from them.

Hollies was a williams 2, still exists and is owned by me. Changed alot since hollie had it, but still 100% standard externally. Its in storage currently.

aahh! Hi, I did wonder after something in your post jogged my memory! Great to see you still got it. That engine had a bit of history didnt it, came to the car in a roundabout sort of a way ;-)
Pretty quick still I bet!
Cheers, Jock. :-)
