Mileometer trip

Since I bought the car, the trip on the mileometer doesn't work at all. Doesn't bother me massively because the main mileometer does work but anyone else had this issue with the trip? If its a simple fix i'm up for giving it a go!!

mine sometimes works i can pick pushing and pushing botton and nowt will happen, i have to write down when ive filled up so i could workout miles per gallon and for me insurance :?
