Any tips on a temporary fix for rust. I've got a very tiny bit if bubbling on one rear arch, under the passenger side rear window and around the rear wiper arm on the tailgate. I plan to buy a new tailgate, but I'm not going to sort the arch and rear quarter until the Spring at least when it is warmer and dryer. I've only had the car a few weeks, but had it up on ramps and luckily everything else is solid. I was thinking clear nail varnish lacquer or similar?

Thanks dudes!

Keep it dry.

Don't use it?

I'd rather the car crumbled around me than not using it. Just a little something to protect the exposed bits for a few months!!

if your having work done it either doesnt matter as any rust will need chopping out and new metal to remove completely, or get hold of some pro grade body cavity sealant and coat the effected area. it wont look pretty but it will reduce the rust, but as mentioned it doesnt matter really as it'll need chopping and welding and 6 months wont make much of a cost difference!
