im wanting to remove my ABS unit, its been dead weight for long time now and needs to go also gives me chance to repipe all the system.
Has any1 ever removed one before? is it just simpley remove it and thats it or does it need replacing with anything?

You'll need to remove it, and then run new brake lines to the master cylinder

i THINK the master cylinders are different ABS to non ABS cars, pretty sure the ABS one has 2 outlets, and the non ABS 4, but my memory is a wee bit fuzzy, been a while since i did mine

as above. will need none abs master cylinder also.

Or use a couple of T-connections to run four new lines off the two ports on the existing cylinder. Unless you are running an in-car adjustable bias controller (like me) then you should run diagonally opposite corners from each output.

Ditto, i've got a non BAS master cylinder, running two lines to the fronts, one to each wheel, and one to the rears, via an in car bias valve, the 4th outlet is blanked off on the master cylinder

I'd recommend getting a used Renault non ABS master cylinder.

The motor factor replacements aren't as good and make the brakes a bit weak IMO
