Excessive noise

Regulation 97 Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986

No motor vehicle shall be used on a road in such a manner as to cause any excessive noise which could have been avoided by the exercise of reasonable care on the part of the driver.

well what if you exhaust has a kite mark?

Surley the PO PO will have to produce some sort of machine to suggest excessive decibels?

Look at the Harley and the Old triumph bikes they are much noisier than many cars, very hard to proove in court without proper machinery!
