Evening all.

I need a new wishhbone on the williams due to a loud click from the rubber bush on full lock sometimes. Was just wondering if the rubber is unserviceable so the whole wishbone has to be changed? Reason i ask is ive seen powerflex bushes for the wishbones and was wondering if its as simple as just fitting them in the old wishbones?

Yep, fit the powerflex bushes into the wisbone & jobs a good un  you just need to do a bit of welding on the new sleeves before fitting the bush

Do a search as I'm pretty sure there's pictures on here of the bits you need to weld & how to remove the bushes etc

And obviously the lower balljoint can be changed easily.

sure the clicks wishbone? click on full lock tends to be CV joint on the driveshaft!

Not sure tbh i was told and have read that its possibly the wishobone bushes.

Symptoms are a loud click through the suspension on full lock occasionaly, or when turning of full lock, it realy is a loud click! It is the passenger side and it also feels like that wheel is driving over small stones when its turning on full lock almost feels floppy..quite hard to explain realy and its intermitent at the moment.

Wishbone bushes being knackered tend to make a click/clunk when braking or pulling off so I doubt that is your problem tbh

could be ball joint also if it feels floppy

i have similar issue on the 172, clunk when coming off full lock but its the shocker itself, the piston shifts inside the barrel of the shocker and clunks. time for new ones me thinks!lol!

Knowing my luck it will be both and something else for good measure :D

Still drives well thow at the moment, think i will pop it in the garage and get it looked over properly first instead of me guessing..

Guarantee the clicking will stop when you get it to the garage :)

Can do the 12.30 test with car jacked up to check lower balljoint. Does it click on full lock only steering one way?

Clicking when turning can also be springs moving.

yeah probably will wobba :) , yeah it only does it when im turning right on full lock when moving slightly.

Could be the springs i guess as it has some dubious looking lowering springs fitted, they will be off soon so maybe it will solve my problem.
