whats it worth?

a megane f7r engine and gearbox.i was in a local car breakers today for a couple of mk1 clio bits and i spotted the engine sitting under a couple of mondeo doors their looking £250 for it.would it be cheap at that?

You can buy a Megane for £500 incl the engine, take the engine and ancillaries out then sell the rest of the for parts and prob make your £500 back

for lack of hassle i'd say if its low mileage etc its not a bad price, could sell box on for 150 and bottom end for same again and still have bits left over to flog, cams, head, covers etc ancillaries etc etc

Theres one in a yard around here, i was told £45 without gearbox for the lot. Was thinking of getting just the head to rebuild but its already done 137k so decided against.

Wow £45.I'm not gona buy it I just seen it and was a bit surprised with it but now I've thought about it for a day or two I don't need it.
