heya guys, just wondering what problems a leaky/damaged rocker cover gasket would/could create. thanks

depends where its leaking

onto the plugs can cause misfire

onto the exhaust can cause burnt oil smell

unlikely to do any major harm though unless its such a bad leak you end up low on oil

ok well..its down by the dizzy cap..that side of the engine..and if i take the plastic spark plug tray out..i can see down into the middle chamber as it was.. between the two cams and there is oil in there..and down by the plugs too.. i have tried cleaning with swabs on a stick sort of thing, but its reapeared. just wary of shitty bits dropping in if/when the plugs are out too...

Get a new gasket & when you come to fit it you'll be able to get into the chamber a lot better & be able to clean up all the oil in there

dont use a gasket. They ALL move and create leaks. Unless you have a plastic megane rocker cover with the rubber gasket, the best way is to use silicon sealer

as above, silicone sealer ftw :-)
