These Rims are so mint they were ment for Paul's Project Nurbergring,i was gonna have them of Paul when i picked up his Williams 057 but he wouldn't remove them from E-bay (which is fair)

Free Bump. I would buy them but have some now. :(

Good luck with the sale mate

Hay 2 live

300/4 = 75 per wheel n them tyres are about £40 i thought, that leaves
bout £35 per wheel to be referbed, I got quoted £65 a wheel from a place near me

Am i Missing something.. Is there a secret place.. lol

If so tell me, ill keep it quiet

tyres are £70 a pair.....michy pe2s 195/50/15.....thats £140

total cost...........£280

there are other places to get the rims done.....local to me......but majority of em are like £170 a set of 4 wheels

no offence taken.but are the rims supposed to be free then?!
and when we say right colour its not the colour thats the problem with refurbing these wheels its the finish that NOBODY can match.
No matter who does em they will never be like an original speedline.
So why piss money away on a refurb?they will only need it done again in 12 months. :D

Think you are trying to sell these on the wrong forum club. Most on here have been made well aware of the colour disparity of Freds wheels, and as such, no one goes near with barge pole. Also for 550 most would expect a laquered rim.

Try www.cliosport.net. If not then id ebay them.

fab
16-08-2005, 10:16
they will be going back to the person I bought them from soon enough, being replaced by new ones.
however you will find that these will become rarer by the months and they will be worth double that in years to come.
So to me obviously there aint any shrewd williams collectors around here that see the sense in them.
good luck.

I don't think we have the money to keep some £350 wheels stored for 10/15 years Fab!

Glad to hear you're able to return them anyway. Says a lot for the person who you bought them from, thumbs up to him. Paul at Infinicar yeah?

Ive seen unfurbished dodgy history rims going on ebay for £160+ needing a refurb.assuming you get a decent refurb for £50 per wheel your looking at circa £360 all in.so personally I think its a fair price to ask.
and nobody seems to be adding the vat to the refurb price they are quoting on the forum?

Initially Paul was reluctant to take them back but he understands I do not have the liberty to go and view a set of alloys before buying them because of my location.
I did ask Paul to send me a photo of these rims beside an original set before commiting to buy however he had no originals in stock at that time.
I took the chance and bought them.Unlucky.

lol..no mate ..i wish the rims were free lol....but most ppl on here have a set anyway...hehe

main reason for ppl to buy em on here is as a spare set or for trackdays......and lets face it...condition of wheel is no major worry wen its for track use.

btw......any 1 with a local powder coating co. can get the same finish...but im not disputing the fact that the rims do look good in the pic.....also 2 years ago mine were done...bar the kerbin the mrs gave em they still holdin up well

No worries lads.
They are worth around that money and believe me i'm not trying to make a profit from them.I just want to get my car sorted and I'm sure most of you realise that.

Locally there are very few options.

I may keep them yet as I have no shortage of space to garage them and hey a spare set is always nice to have lying around.
