Hi,

I am STILL experiencing problems with my car and it misfiring. Everytime i think i know what it MUST be, it turns out to fail.

I noticed that when I blip the throttle occassionally (i guess the same frequency as the misfire) the revs drop back from around 2000rpm to 1000rpm.

Does anyone else have any ideas as to why then i blip the throttle the revs would drop like this?

When i press the throttle harder, then it revs as you would expect.

Cheers.

Chris.

I've put a new throttle position sensor on to the car. Still got the problem.

Wobba,

No - I havent looked at the ECU. I wouldnt know where to start with that to be honest.

Any suggestions apart from swapping it with another one?

Looking on ebay they are a rare breed. I guess best bet is a scrappies?

Hmm, I may have a couple, one has a Gunner180 chip I think.

The ECU is under the skuttle panel, drivers side. Can open it up with small torx bit and just look on the board fro obvious damage or water ingress.

Have you touched the little screw on top of the TB? was the TPS brand new or just another used one?
