Hey lads and lasses just a quick question, are the loom on the Williams and the 1.8 16v the same

Generally no.
There are three different looms for the 16v and 2 for the willy.

I was thinking that alright, it's just that I have a rotten Williams and a decent 16 valve shell so I'm going to put everything onto the valver shell. I thought I might just have to change the ecu but it looks like Ive a lot more to do now lol.

I think that would depend what phase the valver shell is 1st but I'm pretty sure if you just use all of the valver loom that's already in the car, plumb that onto the engine & plug in the willy ecu it'll work

It's the mixing of the engine looms with the car looms from different years/phases that cause the non running problems

sorry for late reply, Both cars are 95 so im hoping the looms are the same. The 16valve has a different immobiliser that might be a problem.

The immobiliser is in the ecu on the ph2's so just pugging in the willy ecu to that loom will work
