Think the Willy 2 was about £550 and if i wanted a 16v as a 2nd car it was £350 but i went for a Cav TD (£280).

Swervin_Mervin

I paid £730 with 3yrs NCB 1 fault Claim and 3 points. That included business cover.

I've just been given the princely sum of £65 back for putting std wheels on and having the fault claim become a no fault claim and now having 6yrs NCB. Robbing twats. Not worth me cancelling the policy now either as the rebate will be just less than it'd cost to take out a new policy.

Just had my insurance re-newal through....think I'm getting raped!
Just had a claim so my NCB is down to 1 yr and all mods are declared....BUT surely I should'nt be paying £1180 TPF&T at 25!!!?

KingStromba

You declare your mods????

Must be nice having a standard car, bet insurance quotes take about 5 minutes, i seem to spend half an hour each time i get a quote explaining what a de-cat is and does

J o n
06-05-2005, 12:38
i wouldn't bother declaring something like a decat Lunner, as A) it puts the premium up and B) they cost **** all to replace. in fact i wouldn't declare a 2.0 in a valver either as they would never know either way.

KingStromba
06-05-2005, 12:58
Things i wouldnt declare:

Headwork
Cams
Decat
SS exhaust. Once i sent a letter to my insurance company stating that i wasnt sure weather the exhaust on my Nissan Silvia was standard or not, as it was on the car when i bought it (even though i put it on and knew it was a janspeed back box). I took a photo and sent it. I said if you think this is an after market exhaust please contact me and i will gladly pay an extra premium, but no expert i can find has an answer. They replied and said the premium would be the same as they were also unable to verify the exhausts history). Losers. Covered.
Filter
Tyres
Coilovers.

Things i would declare but would never buy:
Aftermarket alloys
Body kits
Tints
Neons

Lunner
06-05-2005, 16:36
Well so far everyhting on my car is declaired with no changes to premium apart from the valver front wings

When i get my 2.0 bottem end i won't bother delcairing it, will still be registered as a 1.8 too :)

Martin

Well after I've had a car impounded by the police and run over with a fine tooth comb.....finding all the mods and trying to do me for serious driving offences I have to be cleaner than clean!

KingStromba
06-05-2005, 17:42
As the police man krept round the car with his pen and clipboard, another officer opened the bonnet from inside the car. As they both looked under the bonnet one of the officer pointed to something and made a note on paper he held in his hand.

Martin inched away.

The officer looking in the boot held a spanner in one hand and was looking intentively at the fuel cell on the boot floor.

Martin felt for the remote in his pocket and inched away.

The officers from the front of the car then wandered round the car to the rear, staring at the alloys as they met up with the two officers from the rear. After a brief conversation one of them looked over to Martin, who was now some distance from the car.

'Weve had a decsription of a fair haired man in his 20's driving agressively in the area we stopped you'

'Who said i was fair?'

Martin pressed the remote and the semtex in the gloved box instantly ignited and the car was enveloped in a ball of flames as the officers writhed on the floor slowly burning to death.

'You have the right to remain silent. Forever'

Martin
06-05-2005, 18:49
LOL where did you steal that last quote from?

VIPERONE
06-05-2005, 19:34
Gibson, rolled over and patted out the flames.... and hollered to Martin,,...
"well im fining you £2000 for using an illegal mechanic",
"what do you mean asked Martin?",
"Well you have clearly been and had Bayliss work on your car"...

At this point a strange looking Williams 3 crawled past rubber necking at the smouldering shell.... a black bumper and a blonde haired driver could be seen .. a burning plastic smell was wafting from the cars bonnet vent....

Gibson only managed to get the last 3 letters from the reg, LRG..... he immediately got in to his unmarked VXR Monaro and followed the williams Northwards.

Lunner

LOL

Gotta love this forum :D

KingStromba
06-05-2005, 20:24
Suddenly Gibson realised he was being followed by a helicpoter. It was Matt Brown, come to collect parts for his business. The huge magnet swung down and grabbed the VXR and pulled it clear of the road. Gibson tried to jump out, but his foot got caught in the door, and he ripped off his leg. As he fell he looked down to see a shark basking in the cool waters alongside the coastal road......

VIPERONE
07-05-2005, 07:21
Gibson plunging to his doom searched in vain for his rip cord.. after a short scramble the parachute was unleashed.. a large union jack flag style parachute could be seen... Gibson managed to steer to safety ...
suddenly gibsons vision became blurred.. then black... Gibsons complicated fracture of the leg was too much,,, it was too late he was dead.

KingStromba
07-05-2005, 11:46
As the dead body of Gibson lay bleeding on the rocks, scooby doo could be seen walking towards the corpes with Shaggy and Velma. As they leant over the crumpled body of Gibson, Daphne bent down and gripped the skin of the face of Gunner. As she tugged the secret face mask peeled away from the skull to reveal Matt Brown. The police officers surrounding them all gasped in disbelief. Suddenly to everyones right, Freddy could be heard struggling with Matt Brown in handcuffs. As he martched him into the valcinity of the police officers, Freddy gripped the facial skin of Matt Brown and tugged the mask free to reveal.......Gunner Gibson.

'And i would have got away with it if it wasnt for you pesky kids'
