Yeh i have, but head is a 1.8 and insurance still class it as a 1.8.
so its a 1.8 hehe

Besides its still a 1.8 at heart. Becuse i cant call it a willy and if its a 2l i cant call it a valver (and i love my valver).

i told the DVLA my car was a 2litre, showed them a engineers report stating 2litre bottom end 1.8 head..

got the logbook back saying 1800 cc.... Tell the insurers that !
they classify as a 2.0 ! lol

Yeah mate. You wont be dissapointed as long as you get a well looked after one. Ive had mine side by side with a fiesta rst flat out at just over 130mph. Actually i was a bonnet length ahead and he couldnt pull past lol :wink:

A valver would batter an xr3i mate. I used to keep up with them in my old 1.4 rt 8)

Your making the right choice :P

The escort s2 is pretty slow in comparison! my mate used to have one and got a valver and the he says the valver is a hell of alot quicker than the rsturbo! plus on paper the valvers kill the RS. shame they are turbos and easily tuned to big power tho :(

im now the proud owner of a white 1.8 16v, only probs is its got playboy bunnies on the numberplates, noooooooo!!!! :oops: but it seems alot nippier and on the edge compared to my fat slug off an xr3i, happy now!! will i be able to b have a standard vts off? whats the comparisons!?

I agree with Martin. Ive had a few blasts up to a ton with a vts and it was very close. Not sure which would edge it after a ton though tbh :?
