This interests me if it does what i think it does and stops the damn cap leaking all over the engine bay. Ive had 3 caps now same thing happens every time after a few hundred miles. So can anyone confirm whats in the pictures?

There is a small breather hole in the cap, sometimes it spit power steering fluid all over the bay,so people adapt the cover to have a hose taking away the spillage.I used some mountainbike hydraulic brake hose...

It's just a fitting to allow a breather pipe to be connected which goes to a catch tank for any fluid escaping.

Liking this idea a lot, another one for the list of things to do :D

Looks like some kind of bleed nipple is needed....

Heres the bits that I used, all available from Bike shops, the hose at the end is just brake cable to show but youll need hydraulic hose(doesnt have to be braided, plastic is cheaper)

Make a hole in the res cap SMALLER than the dia of the bleed screw, this way it will self tap into the plastic and you wont have to use a nut on other side

Excellent info. I have the same problem!! I'm constantly opening the bonnet to wipe away frigging pas fluid!!

You can easily just drill it and araldite a bit of copper tube in and put rubber hose over it if you want, doesnt see any real pressure so no need for braided lines etc although it certianly looks nice done like that.

We get this problem with the skylines also. The fluid gets hot and spits out. The way iv got around it on my skyline was to fit an oil cooler into the pas line. Works a treat. Both cars are fine on the road, it's only on track that it spits out.
