Help!! Reverse gear gone.

Hi all, just need some advise here as my williams decided last night to stop letting me put it in reverse gear. the problem is when i try to put it in reverse it doesnt go into it and just goes into 1st instead. I cannot put it inthe reverse gear atall it just doesnt go in.

It doesnt look good to me but im half heartedly hoping it is something simple :roll:

It's sounds to me like the bush is worn where the gear linkage bolts to the bottom of the gearbox.

Cheers mate, think you are right because after a bit of brute force it still goes in reverse eventualy and there is no odd noises from the box so it isnt broken thank god. Will get under it and have a poke around tomorrow.

Do you know if the bush is the same on all clio's?

All fixed! got a bit agricultural with it last night and its fine today. No doubt it will return but until then il leave it :D

Very nice, maybe soon but not yet.

To many other important things to do first for our looming winter i.e suspension, exhaust and a damn good service.
