Thats how she looked like after the rear axle went with a bang on tuesday !!
In that picture its bottomed out on the shocks . And trust me its no fun driving like this .
I have not taken the axle out to inspect but lifting the rear up to have a quick look makes me think the splines on the torsion bars might have sheared off . After all there is not much meat on them splines and the car is 20 years old .
Luckily i have a spare rear axle in bits and a pair of trail arms with brand spanking new rubber bushes pressed in to them ready to be put together.
Watch this space :D
These torsion bars are ran well into the ground then .
Weld them back and carry on ??
