I've been searching for a spare ECU and found this one on PH but the carrier does not seem familiar to me.
what do you lads think?

also while i post, if one suspected that there is a problem with an ecu on a williams besides trying to find a spare part what other options would be open to me?
I guess i could send it off to someone who has a standard eprom chip and get them to solder it in?

If a circuit board is obviously damaged, one option is to fix the circuit. You can buy pens or little bottles of silver nitrate stuff which you can make circuits with.

For blown diodes etc, you need to replace them. If it's caused by water damage it may still work after repair.

ECU box on the link, seems like R19 one to me.

So assuming the circuit board looks OK, is it still possible for the main eprom to become corrupted even if they are read only? Has anyone seen this happen?
I gather they are like PC bios chips and from my experience these can get corrupted.
