Let down on ebay by a none payer, so putting it up for what it went for if anyones interested!

After £140 ono

Welcome to my auction for my much beloved Fujitsu Siemens Laptop.

It is a 17" Amilo 2528Xi model, media centre edition, so basically a desktop replacement laptop and media centre PC.

I purchased the computer new around 3 years ago and have used it daily since then, it has never skipped a beat. I personally ran it on windows 7 once that operating system was released, which it also ran flawlessly, with all the on screen displays and accessories working, so its an option for the new owner to upgrade to W7 as well with no issues!

The only reason I am selling the computer is I have had to downsize to a more portable unit for work and as such its overkill to keep this computer also.

The computer main specs are as follows:

- Intel Core 2 Due T7250 (2GHz) CPU

- 2Gb DDR 2 RAM System Memory

- 160Gb Hard Drive

- DVD/R-RW optical combo multidrive

- nVidia GeForce 8600M GS Graphics Chipset

- Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (Fully service packed and all updates added after a totally fresh install for the new owner, I have also activated the copy)

- Microsoft Security Essentials Antivirus Software

- Fully operational touch panel buttons and on screen display software

- Seperate media remote control that slots into the side of the laptop casing, all working fully

- Mains power AC adaptor and cable

- Branded Carry case in good nick that I have always stored the laptop in when not in use and for travel

Windows Experience Index Results:

- Processor 4.9, - RAM 4.8, - Graphics 4.9, - Gaming Graphics 5.3, - Primary HDD 4.9.

I have cared for this laptop very well over the years and its condition shows this, it has only minor scratches to the lid, the hinges and plastics are all structurally perfect and the only wear and tear on the unit is on the palm rest, keyboard and touchpad, and all just from use, not damage.

The only notable issue with the laptop is the internal battery is frankly kaput, it will not hold charge enough to power the unit for more than a few minutes. A new battery can be had off ebay for around £25 but as I used the laptop primarily as a desktop replacement it wasn't something I ever tackled as an issue.

To prepare the laptop for the new owner I have run DBAN wiper on the HDD, then installed a new copy of Windows Vista Home Premium Edition using the original OEM key on the base of the unit. I have then installed a copy of Microsoft Security Essentials and then fully service packed and updated the operating system. I have also cleaned the laptop thoroughly. I am a laptop repair technician by trade and have removed the key components and removed all dust etc from them to make the machine as new (apart from the wear marks from the last 3 years use!)

Thats all I can think of upto now, any further questions please don't hesitate to contact me!

Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

N.B. The unit and all accessories weighs in at 4.5kg, so it may cost a few quid to post, collection is also an option for the winning bidder!

Brilliant laptops these, i've got a really old Fujitsu Siemens laptop and it's about 10 years old now, not a single wear mark on it and still works perfectly to this day.

If i had the cash i'd have this!
