View Full Version : Lowering Torsion Bar

Think im almost 100% clued up on this now. Doin this Saturday. Good guide on Retro Renault

Just two questions. Hoping im sounding clear!

Ok

1 - make a mark where the hole punched hole is on the bar im going to extract
2 - Withdraw bar
3 - Going to try it by 1 spline to start off with
4 - My question...? Am I correct in sayining when I move it one spline along/round, i re-insert bar back in having moved the bar round CLOCKWISE by x1 spline?

Doing it by splines, im not too clued up. The way ive always seen done is pop the bar out.. push the wheels up as far as youd like them to then jiggle the bar back in once feeling for it to rest back in.

i hope this helps in any way.

dont bother, just lower the car to were you want it and get the bars in where they fit
