View Full Version : Does camber have big effect on tracking?

As above. I currently have some neg camber(not much, something like 1°) and I plan to get tracking done. Will tracking change when I'll install stock Williams shocks, which won't give any or just a little neg camber? Will I have to get tracking done again?

Cheers

Yes it will change it, although not by a huge amount as the steering arms are quite low down the strut compared to some car.

Definately get the camber sorted first before paying for tracking.

If for some reason you HAVE to get the tracking done first though, when you come to do the camber, just do one side first, then drive up the road and alter the tracking yourself until the wheel is back central, as you know that all the change that has occcurred is on that one side, then once you have done that do the camber on the other side, and do the same again.
Doesnt work if you do both at once though of course as you no longer have a reference point and the wheel will still be centralised.
