New Billet Cams RN1603 normally sell at £423
Followers CF53 normally sell at £256.15

They are for the F7P engine but might fit a F7R. Looking to sell if I go 2.0 route rather than go to next stage on my 1.8.

Maybe there are some Cam experts on here that can help with any questions.

Checking on the Kent Cams website, they seem close in some aspects to the Sports R for the 2.0. Always thought the 1.8 cam is like the next model down for 2.0 but there are noticable changes.

Renault Clio 1.8 Ltr 16 Valve RN1603 Supersports 3000 - 7500 11.04mm 11.04mm 278 Degrees 31/67 67/31 106 106 Degrees 0.00mm

Renault Clio 2.0 Ltr 16 Valve RN2003 Sports ' R ' 2000 - 6500 11.04mm Inlet 10.62mm Exhaust 11.04mm Inlet 10.62mm Exhaust 278 258 Degrees 31/67 57/21 106 106 Degrees 0.00mm

Not sure if this would make them much worse or even offer any improvement. Guess that is where Cam timing comes in.

Was going F7R route with Megane engine but it seems new inlet manifold is a sticking point at the mo as has been 2 dodgy sellers on ebay for the last 2 I have won. Would fit these in a Megane F7R if they go or my 1.8 if I have no luck but had them a while now as will only fit at same time as other work. Thought I'd see if there is any interest on here?

Hi mate... one method to go 2litre, with good gains is to do the following:

buy a megane f7r engine. remove head... have your valver head reconditioned for £90 at my local engineers in Rochdale.
]give my engineers your cams + pulleys.

fit valver head on to f7r bottom end.

fit in car, and get a 2.0l ecu or send your original ecu to Nick Thrill to be chipped for the setup.

the finished result should be good.. a similar spec setup ran 14.1 1/4 mile...

naturally retain your valver manifold

forgot to mention one thing:

thats the coversion route i took.. i test drove my setup sat night, and gave myself a shock when it pulled more than i anticipated.

Too many routes and too many high priced F7R engines. Most of the ones I have won on ebay have been Megane one's. Bigger valves than Willy so wanted to use that and would swap Valves over into Valver Head if I didn't use Megane head.

Always managed to get them at 350 quid but last one didn't claim paypal payment so cancelled it. They offered me paying by credit card instead but it just didn't seem right. Something dodgy.

Checked with Infinicar and Megane engines going for 450 plus VAT and Willy engines 900 plus VAT. Stupid price difference and that is what pushes up the Megane engines.

Will keep looking around as the difference in price will allow a worked Megane engine to cost roughly same as an unworked Willy engine.

it cost me 2 grand to do mine mate....but that was buying the engine, then completely overhauling it, the kent cams and pullies, reconned gearbox, chip etc etc. was running meg 2.0 btm end and willy head and box, with the kents.

now running meg btm end, std valver head, std willy cams, std willy chip.

as gunner said, the willy and valver cams will both fit each other, the specs of ur 1800 cams will be a good improvement over the std 2.0 cams i wudda thort

Yeah do think they would be good in a 2.0. They might even be cool in my 1.8 but either have to bite the bullet soon going 1.8 way or keep looking for a reasonable cost Megane F7R engine.
