It might be to do with the clutch arm pivot bush used in the gearbox ??
I know there are 2 different types .

Had fun & games with the clutch not disengaging after I fitted a new one. Only conclusion left after fitting new cable & ratchet mechanism was the clutch itself at fault. Ripped it off & took it back to gsf compared it with another clutch & the 1 I had was much thicker, turns out the clutch I has was simply put in the wrong box

A longer clutch arm means that the cable has to go a longer way to fully declutch, so i think that the clutch pedal needs a bit of tuning if you change to a longer clutch arm..

Impressive :affro:
Made some realy serious progress mate! Original color?
Cool mate, well done, what plans for the engine?
This thread is full of WIN 8)
Nice progress Schakalkhan
The car had too many shades of tugsten grey over the years which was looking really tatty. That was my main reason for the respray . Now its just all one colour ,my mate that has painted it tells me its the same colour newest shape clios have . no idea what it is ,its grey :)
Wobba , i have just changed the clutch and gearbox which was spitting out of 2nd gear (fokked syncros iirc ) Engine is standard 1.8 16v and i am not thinking of changing it to anything else until it blows up . Its a heavy car ,i dont need it to have 200 bhp .lol
More pics from today as i have fitted lots of stuff back on .
Tomorrow front bumper and bonnet are getting primed and wet sanded
hopefully to be painted friday ,then i can book a fresh mot which is running out soon .
Wheels to be painted as well soon
