Ceased Rear Calipers...

Rear calipers have ceased on my Omega. Its rear wheel drive but not even this will shift it. It just sits down like a good en and revs like ****.

Any tricks of the trade tips for releasing them without taking the wheels off to fettle with them?

Don't Vauxhalls have a hand brake drum behind the rear disks. Are you sure it's not this that is seized on. It certainly sounds like wheels off I'm afraid.

Yes Pete, I think its the shoe arrangements on the inside of the disc area thats probably lightly ceased. Stupid arrangement it is. Discs were a nightmare to change when I did them a while back. Bitch to get off. Will inspect at weekend. Its not the conventional handbrake arrangement as you seem to know. Only problem is its parked up against the wall. As we all know will probably be this side thats gone.

Cars dont do nice things when theyre left sat on drives for a few weeks!
