Thought i'd post a few pics of my Mk2 Jetta turbo. The engine the saab 2.3 turbo lifted from the 9000. Hybrid turbo etc. Was 304BHP at 1 bar boost. Not sure what it potential is really. Has G60 brakes, coilovers, G60 steels.

Spun a sheel last week so currently going through the throws of fitting a new engine for some 1/4 mileing this summer.

Proper weapon indeed. Goes like a stabbed rat and is a proper sleeper. Only real plans are BBS split rims, big front bumper, de-badged grill, sort the bonnet as it was only a quick fix for mot as the engine has a raised cam cover at that end, etc... Possibly a respray if i can bring myself to do all the prep work.

Flamin' 'eck. A proper sleeper indeed! Lose the GTI badges and G60 plate and you'd get a proper shock when that rockets past you!

Bonnet is a standard jetta bonnet with a home bodged bulge, my other one has a l200 scoop/bulge grafted in. Piss funny flying away from things that think they'll smoke the old girl. Not sure how long it'll stay for though want to concentrate on the Williams, but need that power in my life :-)

Really cool car.

Which gearbox are you on? Saab one with hydraulic clutch or did you use a vauxhall cable one? (vauxhall ones are direct fit)

I assume its on custom drive shafts as opposed to running saab or vauxhall drive flanges?

It's running the saab box with custom shafts. Gonna swap it while its out as 2nd gear synchro is getting worn. Torque is pretty brutal as is power delivery so its had 2 years of welly

Cool :D

You can get a pretty reasonably priced diff for those gearbox (lot cheaper than a williams one)
