A friend's dad is selling one, I am thinking of buying it if the price is right as a run about as I'm soon to change jobs and I dont want to run Willy as a daily commuter.

Does anyone know of any inherant problems with these? Its a delightful shade of faded Tornado red too.

headgaskets are like cheese, mine was leaking like buggery by 60k

also they wallow and dont handle

in fact frankly it was the worst car i ever owned!!lol! but it was quiet and fairly comfy and good on fuel so as a shitty daily was okay

plus headgasket was cheap to swap out

Its purely a tool to get me from A to B until I can save some money to get something a bit better.

Gonna chop the springs, put it on 17's and stick a fat sub in the boot anyway. Innit.

Ive got one and carried out the following repairs in a year

replacement gearbox
new master cylinder and brake servo
2 sets of door locks as the internals are made of stilton
window motor

Also it handles like a greasy weasel too as coops says.

I hate it!
