looking at getting our lass new cam for her birthday as her old kodak is shot.

any favourites out there? looking at around the 100 quid margin tops but less is better as more cash for dinner out then ;-)

Hi Ben.

I got the missis a Panasonic DMC-FS15 LUMIX. It has a really nice Leica lens. Takes some excellent pics, not sure on current models and price as I got it her last year but stunning pics. Makes my Canon EOS SLR camera look like a loada hassle, and to be honest it is!!

I have a tz6 and it's pretty good. Can get a 10 or 12mp one but zoom is 12 and 10. We have a 10mp but 12 zoom.

Tbh, the zoom is ace and has functions you may use (bit I don't) lime exposure and all that guff.

Anything in the panasonic Lumix range is pretty great
