I would like to have a new set. Are there any alternatives other then Wossner? Any recommendations?

Whats wrong with wossner?

I am pretty sure Totalseal will do some to your spec.

you need to accurately measure the pistons, and a good reconditioner will source you rings that fit

Nothing is wrong with Wossner. I'm just lazy and don't feel like arranging all this again (sending emails, dealing with courier companies, etc) just for a set of piston rings.

If alternative includes measuring pistons and sending even more emails to find the right ones... Wossner it is!

Totalseal are great to deal with, be careful on their gapless rings that they are famous for lately though, easy to have problems with them if the bore isnt honed exactly to their specs etc.
But for normal rings, their quality is fantastic.

How does a gapless ring work?

Its a composite ring in two parts that overlap.

Great idea in principle but I've not personally found them to really make any real world difference in engines I've used them in and have seen problems with oil control.
